Duration: It is typically shorter-term, lasting for a few sessions to a few months, depending on the issue.

 

Approach: Counselling tends to be more structured and solution-focused, aiming to help clients develop coping strategies and resolve specific issues.

 

Depth: It generally addresses surface-level issues and current challenges rather than deep-seated psychological problems (such as trauma, addictions, personality desorders, depression, OCD, Anxiety) 

 

What is the difference between counselling and Psychotherapy? 

 

Couples Counseling is different from Couples or Relationship Therapy. Although both are designed to help individuals and couples navigate the challenges that arise in their relationships, there are differences between them. Click here to find out more about the differences. 

 

Through a combination of individuals and couples counseling sessions, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your partner, and learn practical tools  and tactics to cultivate a happier and healthier relationship.
